Heritage and tourism activity make a significant contribution to the UK economy which enables growth in local areas. Historic England and The Heritage Lottery Fund have both recorded positive results from the economic and social outcomes of heritage-led regeneration. Alistair will tell some our local traditions and the various initiatives he is involved with to keep people visiting the county and surrounding areas.
Alistair is Dorchester’s Town Crier as well as the National Champion Town Crier, having won the title 8 times. Alistair is a business owner, tour guide, town councillor and former President of the Dorchester Chamber for Business
